greeting:Hello, families! I hope this week has wonderful for you all! First, I would like to say thank you for all of the kind words that you all have sent my way after sharing my big news this week. I am so thankful for this school year and the relationships that it has helped me build with your family. I hope that we can continue to stay in touch as time passes, no matter how long it may be. On another note - We cannot believe we have made it to the final week of school! Thank you for everything you have done at home to make this digital learning time successful for your child! Item pick-up:Please follow the schedule to determine when your child/children are invited to come pick up their personal items from the school. Students will also receive textbooks that were used throughout the year, headphones, pencil pouches, and class pictures (if they were previously ordered) in their bags. Themed days:To celebrate the end of the year, we will be doing some fun (optional) activities throughout the week. (see below flyer): Monday: Mystery Science Monday - there will be several Mystery Science activities in your child’s Seesaw account on Monday Tuesday: Teams Tuesday - we will be having a fun class meeting on Microsoft Teams! (you will receive an invitation from me via email) Wednesday: “Would You Rather” Wednesday - there will be several “Would You Rather” activities in your child’s Seesaw account on Wednesday. Thursday: Throwback Thursday - there will be a “Throwback Thursday” activity in your child’s Seesaw account on Thursday. You will find several options in your child’s Seesaw account on Friday. Additional Information:i-Ready, Brainpop Jr., Flocabulary, and PebbleGo will all be available throughout the summer. You are more than welcome to use these for optional practice throughout the summer. Main Idea Teams Help Session:
Main idea is another concept that I know can be slightly tricky, especially since we aren't reading texts together, in-person, and working to determine the main topic and finding details that support it; therefore, I am setting up an optional Teams meeting TODAY to review Main Idea! Just before 11 am, please be on the lookout for an email with a Teams Meeting link. This (in addition to a device with a camera and microphone) is all that your child will need to join. The meeting will run from 11-11:30. Please review these expectations with your child:
Since there are only 4 children on the screen at a time, please encourage your child to type any questions he/she has in the chat box. That way, I can ensure that it gets answered! Since I can't see everyone, it is very easy to miss a raised hand
